Business Development Survey Reveals Those Who Work From Home are Happier

A recent business development poll from Staples Advantage revealed that employees from a variety of industries who work from home at least one day out of the week are happier than those who do not. According to this survey, these telecommuters were even happier to work longer hours and felt a greater sense of loyalty to their companies.

They also reported less stress and better diet, as well as increased productivity when working from home. Telecommuting is a growing trend in the US as companies see the benefits as well. With most workers unable to take proper breaks for lunch and a way to relax, working at home provides employees the opportunity to take their manage time wisely while have the perks of being at home. The comfortable state of sleeping in and not traveling to work has also been a bonus, which many employees always look forward to.

The flexibility of working from home and avoiding long commutes is the basis of the improved morale among telecommuters, according to the survey. Having a comfortable office chair and an organized desk space at home are key to increased productivity, but most companies don't provide furniture or equipment to support telecommuters.
